First is the deal that took place between Fortinet and cloud security startup ShieldX early this month. The former acquired the latter for an undisclosed amount to give a more comprehensive view to administrators about the workstations, OT devices and end user devices connected to their networks.

The deal took place on March 10, 2021 and was formally announced on LinkedIn by ShieldX CEO Ken Levine who said that it was an absolute pleasure to be a part of Fortinet as their automated machine learning based technology will help Fortinet customers to better secure their data and applications across all Cloud environments.

Going forward, RingCentral has made it formal that it has acquired Israel-based cloud encryption startup Kindite for an undisclosed amount. To those uninitiated, Kindite offers cryptographic technologies that mitigate risks associated to applications in the cloud.

Heather Hinton, the Chief Security Officer of RingCentral confirmed the news and added that the new technology purchase will enable employees’ login remotely without compromising security features at the slightest.

Maor Cohen, the CEO and Co-Founder of Kindite acknowledged the deal as fruitful as it will address all security and privacy related troubles in the cloud.
