Apple iOS 13 was finally out on September 19th, 2019 and the iPhone maker claims that its latest operating system has a whole new level of features when it comes to data security and thwarting measures from the latest threats lurking in the cyber landscape.

As the new operating system from the tech giant will be available for the iPhone 6S and later handsets, the software is designed specifically to offer its users with more data controls.

The highlight of the update is that it will offer more control over location data by cutting down access to certain apps like Skype, WhatsApp, and Telegram. Meaning user will have to permit the apps before they use location data in the background and will also be getting the privilege of granting access to the app all-time access to the location or only while using the app.

Coming to the Face ID feature, Apple iOS 13 will help users in unlocking their phones at a 30% faster rate than the previous. Moreover, the downloads are expected to be twice as fast as seen on the previous version (i.e. iOS 12) and will help in updating Safari, Mail, Note, and Reminders.

Furthermore, Apple iOS 13 will have controls that will block apps from accessing the location without permission while they are being connected to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.

Now, for those seeking the peace of mind from marketing calls, iOS 13 will offer a feature to block calls from unknown numbers or those not listed in your contacts, mail or messages. Once the feature is enabled, all the unwanted calls will go directly to your voicemail.

Apple Sign-In feature helps users to login into apps and service accounts without the need to include your email address. This not only helps in keeping your email address away from phishing campaigns but also helps in reducing the number of mails in your spam folder.

Surely Tim Cook led company has taken into account every like of its users and has devised an operating system which not only keeps everything secure but also is as per the likes of Apple Inc patrons.

BTW the devices which are eligible for the iOS 13 update are iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus, iPhone SE and iPod Touch of 7th generation. And for those using iPhone 5 and the previous version are hereby informed that their devices won’t receive the iOS 13 update at all.
