On October 3rd, 2021, the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) published the financial details related to Pandora Papers containing sensitive information related to celebrities, politicians, and individuals living across the world.
Thus, the Pandora Papers leak of over 11.9 million records has created a political storm among the rich across the world as they contain images, emails, spreadsheets, and documents of over 14 financial service companies in nations such as Panama, Switzerland and the UAE.
Although, the ICIJ did not identify its source for the 2.94TB data leak; it did reveal that the data trove contained an estimated monetary value of USD $32 trillion that could include value of both movable and immovable assets and could also include jewelry, art and cryptocurrency.
Cybersecurity Insiders has learnt from its sources that ICIJ purchased the data from the dark web that contains information of over 100 billionaires that includes judges, ministers, mayors, musicians, Cinema Stars, military generals, politicians from over 90 countries.
The Guardian published an article on the Pandora Papers list and stated that the data was published after over 600 journalists from 150 news outlets worked for two years in reviewing the facts from the leaked files.
Information leaked from the Pandora Papers names includes secret purchase of a chateau in French Rivera by Czech Republic Prime Minister Andrej Babis and a 300 acre Mansion purchase made by Russian President Vladimir Putin’s secret girlfriend Alina Kabayeva and the latest Svetlana Krivonogikh from Monaco, with whom Mr. Putin is rumored to have a lovechild a couple of years back.
Leaked Pandora also shares details of a secret luxury home/s purchase worth $106 million made by King Abdullah II of Jordan, whose country relies on a foreign aid to support the daily needs of the country’s populace.
