Google launches Android Enterprise Mobile Security Essentials

For all the Small and Medium Scale Businesses(SMB) operating across the world, here’s some good news from Android OS giant Google. The tech giant has launched a new service tool titled Android Enterprise Essentials that offers the privilege of mobile security to businesses.

As companies are switching to remote work operations and BYOD, Google has announced a secure mobile management tool that helps companies in securing data on the devices.

Some highlights of Android Enterprise Essentials tool are that it mandates lock screen and encryption on devices to prevent illegitimate access to company data. The service also keeps Google Play Protect alive, always to help keep malware at bay and restricts employees from downloading malicious stuff from the internet. And under certain circumstances, the tool allows the device owner to clean wipe the data on a device, if in case, it is lost or stolen.

All such features are applied by default and so configuring them needs no extensive management or training. Hence, the user needs to just purchase the tool, hand it over to the employee/s and ask them to ‘plug and play’.

Google has announced that its Android Enterprise Essentials will be available for purchase through Synnex distribution across the United States and will be available for purchase through Tech Data purchase channel across United Kingdom.

By next year, the internet juggernaut is planning to add more resellers as it wants its latest Mobile Security tool available to all SMB users operating across the globe.
