In what seems to be an interesting find, over 74% of hackers are initiating cyber-attacks only to be challenged. While some are doing so to earn their living, and a few for a lavish life.

Finbold.com survey states that 51 percent of hackers are seen launching attacks to learn and refine their skills in the world of hacking to advance their careers.

Finbold study states that over 30% of hackers have been in the world of hacking for more than 2 years and 20% of them have been launching attacks to compromise accounts for 3 to 5 years.

It’s found that only 5 percent of hackers are extremely experienced in their field by having experience beyond 15 years.

In what is known as per the survey conducted by Finbold, some hacking groups are seen launching attacks with the help of Artificial Intelligence and that’s to infiltrate corporate networks with ease. So, as per the guestimate offered by the researchers, the hacking community is said to evolve as there will be an increase in the demand for Cybersecurity professionals with skills.

The highlight of this survey is the fact that over 3,150 respondents from over 120 countries have responded to the survey and more than 80% of them have reported security vulnerabilities of one sort or another on the HackerOne testing and bug bounty platform.
