Lack of IT staff making companies vulnerable to Cyber Attacks!

1021

Are you concerned about the ongoing threats in cyberspace…? And are you interested in isolating your company’s digital assets from cyber attacks?

Then you better hire a cybersecurity professional/s who will help you in doing so.

According to a survey conducted by a cybersecurity consultancy, “2-Sec” lack of IT staff is leaving companies exposed to cyber attacks. The survey says that though 81% of the survey respondents say that they expect a rise in demand for digital security staff, only 16% saw the demand would be met in 2018.

“Demand is sky-high,” said Tim Holman, the Chief Executive of “2-Sec”. He added that the cost of dealing with cyber problems is going to go up, insurance premiums will witness a surge and the price of cleanups will go up in the current year.

Lack of skilled professionals capable of dealing with cyber crimes of any range is going to cost high to companies who still ignore the worth of Information Security.

Although many security analysts have been voicing the opinion on the concern that there is a shortage of skilled IT professionals, lack of awareness about the field’s existence and interest from the tech field pushed the concern to sidelines till date.

From the past couple of years, many media resources like the renowned LinkedIn Group “Information Security” has succeeded in generating awareness among netizens about the latest cyber threats affecting the digital assets of companies.  This has, in fact, helped CEOs and CIOs of companies to take a leap and learn what security strategy fits perfect into their company when it comes to cybersecurity.

And in coming years, let’s hope that the industry will surely mature in this phase and will witness the availability of IT professionals as per the demand.
