Organizations willing to pay extra if vendors assure cloud security guaranty

A recent study carried out by 451 Research has discovered that more than 50% of organizations are ready to shell out more if vendors assure cloud security on their respective platforms.

And among those who are willing to pay extra, 51.3% said that they are willing to pay extra for security guarantees. Service performance was next on the radar as 40.7% of them said that they would pay extra for it.

The survey also found that 27.9% of companies were interested in shelling out more if the cloud platforms were willing to take more of the operational management burden.

Readers of Cybersecurity Insiders are requested to notify the fact that cost savings, flexibility, and performance boosts have been perceived as the benefits gained by companies on moving to the cloud.

The 451 research also disclosed that companies are moving past entry-level cloud deployments to more complex implementations in order to fill in management and operational gaps in their field infrastructure.

The research also discovered that customers are evaluating cloud vendors based on the value, rather than cost. And that value can reside in services like guaranteed levels of performance, security, and support.

So, service providers who are interested in making merry in business should focus on adding value to the above-said gaps. This can be done by improving quality of service in specific areas and offering product-line as per the customersā€™ needs and flexibility.

Note- Cloud Security refers to the implementation of a broad set of policies, technologies, and controls on cloud platforms to protect data, applications, and the association infra of cloud computing.
