Symantec has been named as a leader in providing Cloud Security Gateways by Forrester Research Inc’s survey named Forrester Wave: Cloud Security Gateways, Q4 2016.

As businesses are showing a lot of interest in moving their data to cloud platforms, organizations are finding it hard to evaluate and implement such transformations with utmost security and safety.

Symantec has excelled in this arena by providing gateways which pass out in seven categories such as user activity monitoring, profiling, threat protection, future development, market planning and shadow IT detection.

As per Forrester report, Symantec helps in integrating cloud security gateways with its on-premises secure web gateway. This is due to the fact that the solution supports proxy-based API monitoring on cloud platforms of AWS and Azure.

The cloud security company features strong capabilities for Salesforce and other structured data protection, including search, sort, and filtering operations. It also allows users to opt for encryption and decryption policies.

Symantec Cloud Security Gateways also have inbuilt cloud application catalog, and offer support to Microsoft’s Office 365 and Mobile device based encryption lag.

Forrester Wave not only named Symantec as a leader in Integrated Cyber Defense Platform. But has also highlighted its prime features such as combining best in class Data Loss Prevention(DLP) and Cloud Access Security Broker technologies(CASB).

As enterprises are witnessing rapid growth and mobility in cloud applications, security needs are also increasing proportionately. As these challenges can only be addressed through cloud security innovation, Symantec has proved its ability in this arena.

And as Symantec operates as one of the biggest civilian cyber Intelligence Networks, it enables it to see and protect against the most advanced threats.

Furthermore, with Blue Coat’s suite of products integration, the California-based company’s position as a leader is further strengthened.
