Revenue for Cybersecurity firms in UK increased by 14 percent

Cybersecurity firms in UK have witnessed an increase in revenue by 14% says a survey that involved respondents from the tech sector of Britain. And stats are in that the year 2021 witnessed a 14% increase in the annual revenue earned by the security firms operating in and around United Kingdom taking the tally to Ā£10 Billion.

The Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) report released recently for the cyber security says the year 2018 witnessed revenue generation of Ā£4 billion and consecutively the next year witnessed a revenue generation of Ā£5 million. However, the year 2021 witnessed a double figure rise taking the annual revenue earnings tally to Ā£10 billion- with the current year sure to witness a 25% increase.

On employment perspective, a 13% increase was witnessed in the sector operating in UK as over 6000 new jobs were created, giving excellent opportunities for the talented to join the sector and raise the wealth.

According to the annual cyber sector report released by DCMS, over 1,839 companies related to the cyber field are expected to be functioning in 2021. With more than half based outside of London and the South East and some growth expected to take place in the North East and East Midland in the next couple of years.
