Securin Appoints Dr. Srinivas Mukkamala as CEO, Signals Shift Toward AI-Driven Cybersecurity

Securin, a cybersecurity firm specializing in adversarial exposure validation (AEV), has named Dr. Srinivas (Sri) Mukkamala as its new Chief Executive Officer. The leadership change signals a strategic pivot toward AI-based threat validation and protection of emerging AI workloads.

Mukkamala brings a long track record in cybersecurity innovation. He was the founder and CEO of RiskSense, a risk-based vulnerability management company acquired by Ivanti in 2021. At Ivanti, he later served as Chief Product Officer. His background also includes work with the U.S. Department of Defense’s CACTUS project, where he focused on assessing exploit feasibility; research that helped lay the foundation for modern AEV techniques.

At Securin, Mukkamala is expected to drive the company’s AI-first approach to cybersecurity. His appointment comes at a time when many organizations are increasingly adopting AI technologies, raising new security challenges that go beyond traditional vulnerability assessments.

“Securin’s expertise in Adversarial Exposure Validation, powered by automated penetration testing and AI red teaming, positions us to deliver unmatched threat visibility and resilience,” Mukkamala said.

As part of its new strategy under Mukkamala, Securin will prioritize three core areas: validating the security of AI models and applications, unifying enterprise protection across cloud and software systems, and improving threat visibility through attacker behavior modeling and AI-enhanced validation.

Securin’s platform stands out for its use of dynamic risk assessments and simulated attack scenarios. Unlike conventional tools that rely on static scores such as CVSS, the platform integrates AI-driven red teaming with proprietary threat intelligence to offer real-world validation of exploitability.

“Sri’s deep background in product innovation and AI security makes him the right leader for Securin at this moment,” said Rohini Kasturi, CEO of HG Insights and a board member at Securin.
