Security automation can save millions otherwise incurred through data breaches

A recent survey conducted by IBM has discovered that companies can save millions incurred from data breaches, just by automating their cybersecurity posture. The report that goes with the title ā€˜IBM Cost of Data Breach Reportā€™ stated that organizations can save for themselves about $3.05 million per data breach, if they take the help of the technology of Artificial Intelligence (AI) along with Automation.

IBM says that security automation can help in foreseeing incidents and breaches, that is almost impossible to oversee by the human brain.

The American Technology giant predicts that most of the attacks in the future will be powered by AI technology and so security teams should also be well prepared to encounter such attacks with software-based monitoring, detection and containment.

If certain figures are considered, IBM concluded it takes at least 74 days to identify and contain an incident in no-automated environments.

Soon, adoption of cloud computing and Internet of Things will increase and so do the cyber risks.

AI adoption, when paired with human insights, will help in securing devices operating across a digital landscape to the core. Therefore, itā€™s high time that technology heads of companies search for defensive and proactive measures that not only help in securing their IT infrastructure but also help in doing so in a foolproof wayā€¦. well at least for now!
