Sophos, a UK based security Software, and Hardware Company have announced that it is expanding its partner’s program to offer training, certification and monetary help to channel partners who are interested in using or migrating to the public cloud. This will help the channel partners of the security firm to better recommend their respective customers on how to evolve to cloud deployments with the right security products.

With this offering, Sophos becomes the world’s first company to introduce a program specifically designed to help partners to explore the business opportunity involved in cloud security business. The firm also expects that this program will help in the growth of its products in Microsoft’s Azure or Amazon Web services.

As per a research carried out by Gartner, the worldwide public cloud service market is projected to grow by 18% in 2017 and is expected to reach $383.3 billion by 2020.

So, Sophos is helping its partners to see a big opportunity to help customers secure their public cloud deployments which will help in receiving the same benefits that they get through traditional sales models set up with their vendor’s partner program.

On a simultaneous note, Sophos is also offering Server Protection for Azure cloud platforms. Thus, the new offering when used with Sophos XG Firewall and Sophos Sync security technology will help companies defend their IT assets against cyber threats occurring from multiple vectors, including virtual machines running on Azure.

Sophos has also made it official that all its new offerings will be exhibited at Microsoft Ignite event between Sept 25-29. The company representatives will be physically present at booth number 1836.
