Sumo Logic, a cloud-based machine Data Analytics Company of California has made it official that it is going to acquire JASK Inc or Jask Labs which offers cloud-based security intelligence.

The objective of this deal is crystal clear- to integrate Cloud SIEM software into analytical operations conducted by Sumo Logic.

Technically speaking, Jask Inc offers software that automates repetitive jobs and puts an end to alert fatigue. By integrating the technology, Sumo Logic is aiming to automate actionable insights into its Continuous Intelligence Platform Service which will, in turn, help security analysts identify security incidents on a quick note.

“As modern age security demands human-scale problems on par with machine scale problems customers are looking for options to overcome the pain and complexity of the identity-related tasks. The Technology obtained after the acquisition of Jask Inc will help the analysts democratize security intelligence for all”, said Ramin Sayar, CEO & President of Sumo Logic.

Currently, the financial details of the deal remain undisclosed. However, the headcount of 100 people from Jask is reported to join the payrolls of Sumo Logic and will be joining the Austin office by early next year.

Martin who is a co-founder of Jask Labs will join Sumo logic from next year and will be heading in the post of President and General Manager of Sumo Logic’s Security Division.

Note- Meanwhile, Exalogic which was intending to acquire Jask earlier said that the deal between Sumo Logic and Jask might not show any significant change in the next generation SIEM market.
