Do you know which Android Smart Phone OEM offers timely security updates to its users? Any guesses? Well, most of you might name Samsung as the best OEM offering security updates in a timely manner.

But in reality, Samsung gets average marks when it comes to security, while Google which offers Android OSes to its users stands second in the chart. And the winner is BlackBerry which has recently started to offer Android-based smart devices to its users.

According to a chart released by Security Lab, Blackberry stands tall among its opponents when it comes to Global Security update availability for Android-based smartphones. Just behind it is Google and then Samsung.

Coming to global security update available for smartphones, according to the 2018 report from Security Labs, Apple tops the chart followed by Windows Mobile OS.

And talking about the support timelines, Apple tops the list in this chart as well, as it support timeline ranges from 4-5 years depending on the model of the phone. Samsung phones support timeline ranges from 2 years to 3 years when it comes to Android-based devices.

Now, to all those who are fans of Google Android OS, here’s a quick update. Google has officially announced last month that all those users who have privacy concerns should only buy its Google Pixel phone as the device will soon be loaded with one of the world’s most secure OS called Android Oreo as it gets security updates on a timely manner.

Well, the announcement could simply be a marketing ploy of Google to sell as many as its Pixel phones loaded with Android Oreo before its latest Android P OS arrives.
