World War 3 or Cyber Attack on North Korea..?

1061

As tensions between Us President Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un of North Korea intensify many national leaders are expecting a world war like situation in coming days. But security experts suggest that the situation can be brought under control with a few clicks of a button, instead of the conventional war methods like a nuclear attack.

Matt Morris, the Vice President of Cybersecurity firm NexDefense thinks that a cyber attack might work way forward than to intensify the situation with morbid weapons. Morris thinks that cyber attack will undoubtedly represent a better option than wide-scale conventional weapons.

Recalling what was observed by him during US and Iran war, Matt Morris says that US defense personnel can use 2 cybersecurity weapons to tackle rogue nations like North Korea. Stuxnet and Stuxnet 2.0 which are believed to be developed around 2009 can be used to tame the nasty intentions of Kim Jong.

Technically, Stuxnet is used to take down the centrifuges used to enrich Uranium in nuclear plants. And its precede Stuxnet 2.0 was designed to work with Siemens Industrial Control Systems used to monitor and control centrifuges provided it can read the commands in the Korean language.

Matt at the same time doesn’t want to underestimate the strength of North Korea when it comes to cyber war. The security expert feels that Kim Jong Un’s cyber army is capable of doing what the US cyber army or experts are doing. So, we cannot underestimate the backlash of the nation after being cyber attacked.

Moreover, as per the review of CIA, most of the critical infrastructure in North Korea is not connected to the outside world on a virtual note. So, disarming them with a simple mouse click will not be an easy task to go for.
