Atos acquires cybersecurity company SEC Consult

France based Information Technology giant Atos has made an official announcement that it is going to acquire cloud security consulting company SEC Consult for an undisclosed amount. Atos says that its new acquisition will help it in attaining the number one position in entire Europe as more than 500 security experts serving the DACH region will be joining its staff count after the deal gets over on a complete note.

 

Technically, SEC Consult offers Cybersecurity consultation to companies in penetration testing, red teaming, and technical assessment of information security services in DACH and APAC regions. And its clientele base consists of large companies serving the finance, manufacturing, public, and technology sectors.

 

Thus, Atos is planning to integrate SEC Cybersecurity services into its Managed Security offering to fulfill its ambition to become a primal Cybersecurity provider for companies digitally transforming themselves worldwide.

 

However, the close of the deal is expected to take place by March next year and is subjected to anti-trust filings 

 

Note 1- Founded in 2000, Atos specializes in offering unified communication services, cloud and big data-related services, and Cybersecurity.

 

Note 2- Atos, has been an official sponsor for the Olympics and Paralympics games from 2001 and will remain so till 2021.

 

Note 3- The multinational IT company operates under the brands Atos Consulting, Atos Healthcare, Atos Worldgrid, Atos/Syntel, Bull, Canopy, and Unify.

 

Note 4- An Antitrust filing is a US law that monitors the merger and acquisition of companies and sees that a health competition flourishes in the sector eventually helping the economy to grow by weeding out firms that indulge in monopoly and predatory acts.
