Cognizant to acquire Cloud specialist 10th Magnitude

Cognizant, the American Business solutions provider has made it official that it is going to gain Illinois based 10th Magnitude, a cloud specialist for an undisclosed amount. Thus, with the deal the company is looking to add Microsoft Azure expertise into its business as 10th Magnitude is a business segment of Microsoft Business Group.

Trade analysts say that the 6th cloud related acquisition made by Cognizant will help strengthen its stand in the business of data centers by rendering company’s services such as transformation, application modernization and other solutions.

“Sophisticating and modernizing the companies willing to shift to cloud will be our top business priority”, said Greg Hyttenrauch, President, Cognizant Digital Systems and Technology. 10th Magnitude acquisition will underscore Cognizant’s commitment towards Microsoft, to help clients gain expertise related to Azure Cloud.

“As Hyperscale Cloud infrastructures are the need of the hour as they enable business organizations to be more agile and improve business performance delivered to clients, our technology is said to help Cognizant to offer pivot, resilient, and flexible remote access solutions to those seeking a turkey solution for all their applications”, said Alex Brown, CEO, 10th Magnitude.

Reports are in that the employees of 10th Magnitude will join Cognizant as Azure employees as a part of Microsoft Business Group. The Financial transaction is expected to close in the 3rd quarter of 2020.

Note- Cognizant maintains a cordial business relationship with other cloud companies such as Google, IBM, Oracle, Salesforce and Service Now.
