As most of the healthcare-related organizations operating across the world are struggling to recuperate with cyberattacks in the wake of the Corona Virus outbreak, Technology Giant Microsoft has decided to offer a free security service named Account Guard Program to all staff working for healthcare organizations, humanitarian organizations and human rights groups.

News is out that the Internationally recognized company which offers different variants of Windows operating systems is planning to extend the service of its AccountGuard to government organizations across Europe, the United States, and Asia in near future.

ā€œTheir work is already challenging enough and hackers are making their lives even more miserable. So, we have taken an initiative to protect them from all sorts of cyber threats especially those targeting in COVID 19 testing facilitiesā€, said Tom Burt, the Corporate Vice President of Microsoft.

So, starting this week, AccountGuard will be available to all healthcare organizations such as clinics, labs, clinicians, hospitals and front line emergency services, pharma companies, life sciences, and medical device manufacturers. Furthermore, all firms involved in the research and development of Corona Virus medicine and vaccine will also get cyber protection added to Mr. Burt.

Currently, the Redmond based giant is offering its Account Guard services in more than 29 countries, provided the local laws permit it to do so- like GDPR.

Also, those using Office365 and Microsoftā€™s business email service like Outlook.com and Hotmail will get special privileges like extended additional security services from Account Guard.
