A year-long investigation taken up by the Cyberspace Solarium Commission has predicted that the United States is on the verge of getting hit by a Catastrophic Cyber Attack.

The report says that the nation led by Donald Trump is not only vulnerable to hackers but is also susceptible to the millions of daily intrusions that can disrupt the entire financial network and the electoral systems of the country.

Cyberspace Solarium Commission which is being chaired by Senator Angus King and Mike Gallagher has a team of 14 members which includes 4 congress leaders, and 4 executive agency leaders along with 6 US Security experts-not connected to the government in any way.

According to the report compiled by the team led by Sen King, both public and private sectors operating in North America are facing major cyber threats like cyberattacks on electoral databases, espionage campaigns on US Military, its contractors and suppliers and attacks on civil agencies and key technology companies.

Although the finger points always towards Russia and China, the Cyberspace Solarium Commission feels that they are other nations which to the best of their interest try to eject cyber conflicts.

As the situation is serious, the commission wants the white house to take the alert on a serious note and appoint a ā€œNational Cyber Directorā€ and a Military Cyber Reserve Force with a high level of cyber capabilities.

Furthermore, the Cyberspace Solarium Commission wants the creation of a federal agency dedicated to Cyberspace Security and Emerging technologies at the State level.

On an overall note, the commission wants a framework to be wielded which will make the economy online and the flow of goods and services uninterrupted during the occurrence of cyber incidents.
