Cyberr and ICTC Join Forces to Help Close the Cybersecurity Skills Gap

Cyberr, a global professional network for cybersecurity talent, has announced a partnership with Canada’s Information and Communications Technology Council (ICTC) to support cybersecurity workforce development and help aspiring professionals transition from education into employment.

The collaboration will provide graduates of ICTC’s cybersecurity programs with access to Cyberr’s international network of security professionals, mentors and employers. The goal is to help individuals build industry relationships, gain practical career guidance and explore employment opportunities beyond their local markets.

While demand for cybersecurity expertise remains strong, breaking into the industry can be challenging for newcomers who lack professional connections or hands-on experience. The partnership seeks to address these barriers by combining ICTC’s workforce development initiatives with Cyberr’s cybersecurity community and employer network.

The initiative also aims to strengthen ties between cybersecurity talent in Canada and Europe, supporting cross-border collaboration and giving employers access to a wider pool of emerging professionals.

Beyond technical qualifications, the partnership emphasizes the importance of mentorship, networking and industry engagement in building successful cybersecurity careers. By connecting education with real-world opportunities, Cyberr and ICTC hope to create more accessible pathways into the profession and support the industry’s long-term talent needs.
