Hacker leaks financial data of European Super League

European Super League that hosts football-related competitions related to over 20 football clubs is in news for cyber attack reasons. A computer hacker named Rui Pinto is said to have accessed and leaked financial secrets related to the elite football clubs based on the provocation induced because of corporate greed.

The 32-year-old is said to have created a website and dubbed it with the name of Football leaks and indulged in extortion of selling some of the deep secrets of Europeā€™s top Sides.

Rui Pinto has been arrested and put on trial in Portugal and is on the verge of facing a 25 years jail term for hacking into the servers of the worldā€™s elite premier leagues.

As per the details available to our Cybersecurity Insiders, Mr. Pinto was involved in cybercrime related to the leak of 70 million documents exposing deep secrets that happen inside the lives of players and their involvement in the back rooms since 2017.

This includes tax affairs related to many elite players such as Cristiano Ronaldo and the expense of his recent trip with his girlfriend Georgiana Rodriguez.

It is estimated that the tax evasion story of Ronaldo and the later developments, such as the fine payment of Ā£16.7 million to the Spanish authorities, was based on the tip-off given by Mr. Rui to the tax authorities.

Note- After Ronaldoā€™s penalty payment to the authorities, William Burdon, the lawyer of Pinto acclaimed that his client must be recognized as one of the greatest whistleblowers of this century for showing truth to society.
