Kaspersky Lab issues Cyber Threat warning to Users of Cryptocurrency Wallets

Kaspersky Lab has recently issued a cyber threat warning to all users of Cryptocurrency wallets. And said that the hackers both individuals and groups are on the prowl to steal cryptocurrency from those using bitcoin and other cryptocurrency wallets.

As the cryptocurrency market is witnessing a boom and might reach enormous heights in the upcoming year, Kaspersky labs suspect that both state-sponsored hackers and individuals will follow the process of making easy money by siphoning digital money from e-wallets maintained on computers and smartphones.

In fact, the excitement of bitcoins has captured UK companies in a negative way as they are found stockpiling bitcoins to use as ransomware hush money in the upcoming year. So, companies operating in the UK and using bitcoins wallets are said to be more susceptible to cyber attacks.

As the availability of the said cryptocurrency variant will decrease, each Bitcoin cost against the dollar may go up to $60,000 by mid next year. So, Kaspersky Labs predicts that state-sponsored hackers from nations like North Korea will try to hack bitcoins wallets from next year in order to siphon the digital currency to fund their nuclear ambitions.

So, the Russia based security firm is asking all those who own digital currency to keep their wallets safe from hackers by following certain security steps such as keeping the digital currency in a separate wallet not owned by the exchange from which it was purchased. And keeping the private keys safe from virus, phishing email and keyloggers attacks.
