Slack takes Mobile Security seriously!

Slack, a cloud software platform which keeps all your work communication at one place has announced that it has renewed its new Enterprise Mobile Management (EMM) capabilities in order to ensure that its 5 million users can use the productivity tool on trusted devices.

Slackā€™s new EMM tool which has been developed with the help of MobileIron, BlackBerry Good and VMware AirWatch offers Slack admins the privilege to use tools and devices as per their desire, without compromising security or policy requirements.

The highlight of the new Slack EMM is that it offers HIPAA and FINRA compliance, along with data encryption in transit and identity management.

On an additional note, data loss prevention feature and e-discovery are also being supported by the new EMM feature of Slack.

It has to be notified over here that Slack already offers mobile security features like single sign-on, 2-factor authentication, and remote wipe.

Slackā€™s latest media disclosure says that it currently has over 6.8 million weekly active users and 5 million daily active users. Out of these, they are over 1.5 million paid users and 38,000 plus paid teams.

NBC, Adobe, Autodesk, IBM, British Airways are some of the technology giants using Slack services. It is estimated that over 3.5 million people are connected simultaneously to slack at one time.

Note- Slack is a software platform which allows its users to interact, project, post their daily work progress as an update. It is basically a cloud based platform which acts as a team communication and collaboration platform.
