Strike48, the agentic orchestration platform for security and IT environments, has introduced its agentic security operations appliance, a ready-to-deploy solution that enables organizations to run autonomous security operations within their own infrastructure. The appliance supports both on-premises and fully air-gapped deployments, providing organizations with greater control over model usage, enabling security data to remain on-site or within national borders, and helping reduce the costs associated with operating AI agents at scale. These deployment options complement Strike48’s existing cloud configurations.
As enterprises adopt greater autonomy across security operations, cloud-based AI architectures can present challenges for organizations subject to strict security, regulatory, and data sovereignty requirements. Sensitive security telemetry may be unsuitable for transmission to cloud environments, while regulations may restrict certain data from leaving a country or controlled infrastructure. Concerns surrounding the handling of sensitive information by externally hosted AI models can also prevent organizations from progressing beyond AI pilots. At the same time, variable token consumption can introduce uncertainty around costs as AI agent usage expands.
Strike48’s agentic security operations appliance is designed to address these challenges by enabling organizations to deploy AI agent capabilities in environments where cloud-based architectures may not be suitable. For organizations operating under the most stringent requirements, the appliance can run in a fully air-gapped environment, keeping both security data and AI infrastructure under enterprise control.
“One of our core commitments is to meet enterprises where they are, and that means delivering the Strike48 platform in a way that matches their operational, security, and regulatory requirements,” said Tim Leehealey, co-founder and president of Strike48. “The path to agentic operations isn’t going to look the same for every security and IT team. We’re giving organizations the flexibility to adopt these capabilities on their terms.”
Strike48 now offers four deployment models: cloud, private cloud, on-premises, and fully air-gapped. In on-premises and air-gapped environments, AI models are deployed directly onto an appliance, either through dedicated hardware or as a software appliance running on infrastructure that meets Strike48 specifications. Its cognitive and deterministic agent architecture, combined with a model-flexible design, enables Strike48 to operate within controlled environments without depending on a single model provider. Local inference also allows organizations to process billions of tokens while reducing costs compared with SaaS-based deployments.
For MSSPs, the appliance provides a way to extend agentic security operations to customers that cannot or do not want to deploy cloud-based AI because of security, regulatory, data residency, or cost considerations.
“For many companies and institutions, retaining full control over sensitive security data is non-negotiable,” said Timothy Whitaker, Engineering Team Lead and Lead Developer at Maidar Secure. “The Strike48 appliance provides a practical way to deploy agentic security operations within infrastructure they control. As local AI models become more capable and efficient, organizations can scale these capabilities while maintaining data sovereignty, predictable costs, and operational resilience.”

About Strike48
Strike48 is the agentic operations platform for deploying trusted AI agents across security and IT environments. The platform supports security use cases spanning alert triage, phishing investigation, remediation, detection engineering, and threat hunting, giving organizations control over how agents reason, access data, and take action. Through deterministic and cognitive agents, real-time data federation, model flexibility, and configurable human oversight, Strike48 helps teams scale AI-driven operations while maintaining control, trust, and cost efficiency. Strike48 works across existing environments without requiring organizations to centralize their data or replace existing technology investments. Originally incubated within Devo, Strike48 is headquartered in Boston. Learn more at www.strike48.com.
