North Carolina based TSI Healthcare is said to have received cyber attack threats via email from a Washington Man in April last year. The 28-year old man named Todd Micheal Gori, a resident of Wenatchee, Washington threatened the company with digital disruption if the CEO failed to fire one of their employees and hire him instead.

The man was captured by the law enforcement in August this year and was found guilty in the court trials. The North Carolina Judge sentenced the man an imprisonment of 37 months early this month for threatening the said healthcare software vendor based in Chapel Hill, NC.

According to sources reporting to Cybersecurity Insiders Gori sent an email to the company on April 18th of last year.

The email contained the message saying “You either lay off her( name withheld) and replace her with me, an operator who is 100x better. Or I will take down your entire company along with my comrades via a cyber attack.

The North Carolina judge learned in one of the trials that Gori put forward several applications to the company for administrative posts since 2015. And a concerned employee was found rejecting his job plea several times. Out of vengeance/ personal vendetta, Gori sent the intimidating email asking the company management to either replace her with him or face a cyber attack.

He also mentioned in his email that he will buy a gun and shoot down all the employees of the healthcare software provider if his requests were ignored.

After receiving the cyber threat email, TSI healthcare turned to FBI who finally succeeded in tracking down Gori and arrested him in August 2017. After hearing the arguments of both sides in three trials, the district court of NC is said to have pronounced 3 years 1-months imprisonment to Gori.
