All you iPhone users out there beware of a new text related bug which silently creeps into your mobile freezes it and can even help in crashing it.

Yes, a newly discovered named ChaiOS was discovered by software developer Abraham Masri in January this year. Masri says that the bug actually exists as a simple chunk of HTML code which can be sent as a text message to a victimā€™s iPhone. It is said that the bug has the potential to restart the mobile on its own without being activated with a click, drain the battery, freeze the entire operation of the victimized Apple iPhone and can even crash it.

Abraham Masri has already carried out the chaiOS test on iPhone 5S and iPhone X after which he came to a conclusion that the said vulnerability will affect the iOS versions 10.0 and above.
Masri also disclosed that the bug, when sent in text format to an iPhone using iOS 11.2.5 Beta 5, has exhibited the same attribute of freezing or crashing the phone.

Even those using Mac Computer were said to be vulnerable to the said flaw and the only option was to reset the iOS device to ā€˜Factory Settingsā€™ which will eventually make you lose data such as your photos and videos.

According to a source from MSN news, the newly discovered bug in the 3rd big OS bug to hit Apple iOS users in the last few years.Ā

Masri feels that American Technology Giant Apple was simply showing interest in just releasing patches to its OS flaws, rather than investigating the underlying problems which were causing it.

Until last year, security researchers around the world were in a speculation that Android OS loaded smartphones were the ones which were most vulnerable to hackers.

But now the latest find of ChaiOS on Apple iOS will surely turn the conjecture vice versa.
