McAfee offers cloud security extensively to Microsoft Azure users

McAfee, the Santa Clara based security software company has announced that it has extended its Cloud Security Platform consistently to protect Microsoft Azure users. Thus, with the announcement the company happens to deliver the industryā€™s most extensive solution to secure Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service(PaaS) and Software-as-a-Service(SaaS).

As per the analysis of security analysts, the solution extension happens to be addressing the most enterprise security needs for users of Microsoft Azure and helps the cloud providersā€™ customers to build applications on the Azure platform without any security apprehensions.

These days, corporate organizations are showing a lot of interest in moving their data centers to public cloud platforms. But they are still concerned about the security measures which are being offered to protect their data and apps by Cloud Service Providers (CSP).

From CSP perspective, the process of offering security parameters is usually complex as it involves a lot of tools to configure, incidents to respond to and controls to manage. Moreover, the strategic planning and implementation get even more complex if multiple cloud environments are involved as it makes such environments vulnerable to cyber attacks.

McAfee solves this issue by providing a one Cloud Security Platform to Microsoft Azure users by ensuring comprehensive visibility and consistent enforcement of security and compliance configurations along with securely crafted policies across multi-cloud environments.

A recent press release from McAfee suggests that its Cloud Security Platform helps organizations to Audit Security Configuration settings of Microsoft Azure against best practices, identify security and compliance gaps and recommends actions reduce to fill security loopholes. The solution uses data sciences and machine learning to detect insider threats and compromised accounts.

Also, McAfee Cloud Security Platform helps in removing malware from traffic going to and from and within the Microsoft Azure Infrastructure.

Note– Readers of Cybersecurity Insiders have to notify a fact over here that McAfee could be integrating the technology of its newly acquired company Skyhigh Networks to enhance its Cloud Security Portfolio from hereafter and this includes strengthening of McAfee Skyhigh Security Cloud, McAfee Virtual Network Security Platform, and McAfee Cloud Workload Security.
