Oracle offers a dedicated and secure cloud platform for UK’s Government Agencies

Software giant Oracle has unveiled a Government Cloud Region for UK-based public sector organizations which have to comply with regulations around data security. Thus, the new cloud service will aim to help government organizations move their workloads to the cloud, ensuring they meet with HMG Cloud Security principles.

At Oracle, security is at the heart of everything and so the company aims to offer a secure solution to public sector companies that are interested in having a solution which can offer confidentiality, integrity, and availability of their data vital for business.

Therefore, for all those companies which are looking for options to host their mission critical data, Oracle’s UK Government Cloud can prove as the best option. The solution actually offers a platform where public sector organizations can save costs, innovate new solutions and create a streamlined approach to services, merging data with processes that make services better for the public.

Perhaps, the latest approach of Oracle proves that it is aiming to inch towards AWS Infrastructure business. And as many UK based organizations use Oracle based applications, a dedicated and secure cloud platform will help them integrate all their processes to Government Cloud Region to further reap the benefits of cloud computing.

But industry analysts from Britain say that the move might work to a certain extent in winning the trust of public sector organizations. However, as Brexit looms and concerns over data sovereignty continue to grow; only time can tell whether or not Oracle will win favor over the competition.
