Vonage’s Identity Insights API has won gold in the cybersecurity category at the Merit Awards for Technology.
The API uses mobile network signals to help enterprises detect fraud in real time. Its features include SIM Swap detection, which flags recent changes to a SIM card, and Subscriber Match, which compares user-provided information with mobile operators’ know-your-customer records to verify identity.
Vonage said the tools can help businesses block synthetic identities, streamline onboarding and support compliance without adding steps for customers. The API is part of the Vonage Protection Suite, which also includes Fraud Defender and the Verify API with Silent Authentication. The tools can be deployed individually or together.
