Microsoft has made it official that it is strengthening Azure Cloud Computing platform with the newly acquired AzSec software developed by 5nine Software Company. As per the details disclosed to the media, AzSec allows IT admins to manage and monitor Azure systems and prevent potential security risks that can surface in the public, private or hybrid cloud environments.

Florida-based ‘5nine’ company is offering AzSec as a console based application which can run on a server or in the cloud environment. It basically helps in maintaining network traffic and devising security rules for virtual machines running in Azure Cloud. This includes collecting, displaying and managing firewall log data in a central console.

Therefore, it helps in reducing misconfiguration risks for virtual machines in Hyper-V Environments as admins can apply firewall rules in a single step instead of using complex scripts from Azure portal- all thanks to AzSec Easy Firewall Configuration.

Furthermore, admins can also use the customizable option of setting up alerts for potential attacks and other incidents.
5nine software is interested in offering AzSec through Microsoft Azure Marketplace Portal in a few weeks time.

Coming to the pricing, AzSec cost starts on a per virtual machine basis which can go around $18/year.

Note- 5nine software offers security solutions for Microsoft Hyper-V environments and this includes virtual firewall, agentless antivirus, and intrusion detection along with cloud migration with utmost security. So, far the company has managed to gather trust of more than 100,000 customers and this includes trusted brands such as KPMG, Motorola, The Ohio State University, Seagate, and AIG.
