Banks in US and Europe put on high cyber attack alert

Russia is all set to launch a war against Ukraine and from the past couple of weeks is busy preparing itself to corner the said nation from all spheres. The Putin led nation also issued an informal alert to Europe and United States that if they support Ukraine, then they should be ready to face economic chaos as all of their financial institutions will be disrupted through a cyber attack within no time.

Thus, the European Central Bank has warned all its banking institutions to bolster their defense-line in such a way that they can thwart nation funded attacks of any range.

It is all a part of a cyber war game that is being initiated by the Vladimir Putin led nation and so all financial regulators from both the western nations have been put on alert”,

Christine Lagarde, the ex- minister of France has also urged the financial regulators to monitor all foreign transactions as there is an input from the UK intelligence that some notorious cyber gangs from North Korea could take the situation as a brilliant opportunity to siphon funds from public and private bank accounts.

Visioning the threat, the New York Department of Financial Services has also issued a warning last month of retaliatory cyber attacks by Russia because of the apparent sanctions to be imposed by the United States on the Putin led nation for waging a war against Ukraine.

Meanwhile, the Russian Federation has issued a statement that the west has been gripped by a ‘Russophobia’ and has no diligent right to lecture Moscow on how to act against its soviet neighbor Ukraine.
