Cloud Security startup Avid Secure acquired by Sophos

Sophos, the British security software company has made it official that it has acquired Cloud security startup Avid Secure Inc for an undisclosed price. Likely, Sophos is planning to integrate AI-powered cloud security analytics offered by Avid Secure into its product offerings to emerge as a leader in public cloud offerings.

Founded in the year 2017, the San Francisco based AI startup is known to offer compliance and DevSecOps infrastructure topped with AI-powered analytics. It specializes in offering ā€˜end to end protectionā€™ in public cloud services across Amazon Web Services(AWS), Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform.

Note 1- Founded in the year 2017, California based Avid Secure is known to amalgamate the power of AI and automation to simplify compliance, governance, and security monitoring for public clouds.

Note 2- Sophos offers products related to encryption, communication endpoint, network security, email security, mobile security, and Unified Threat Management. Since the year 2017, the company is on an acquisition spree as it acquired an endpoint security solutions startup Invincea Inc for $100 million in Feb last year and is targeting a data center solutions provider by 3Q of 2019.
