UK government to spend £14.5 million on Cyber Threat Innovation Center in London

Britain will probably be the first nation to cement its place as a world leader in the fight against cyber attacks and threats. And that’s because it is investing over £14.5 million on Cyber Threat Innovation Center which will develop the next generation of cyber security technology to help keep the nation safe.

Very recently, a competition to design and develop the new center was launched by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media, and Sport. The investment is said to be made in a span of next three years to bolster UK’s cyber security defenses in order to make the nation as the safest place to invest in digital businesses.

As per the details available to Cybersecurity Insiders, UK government plans to bring large firms work hand in hand with innovative startups and industry experts to develop new technologies for businesses who like to protect themselves against all cyber threats. The plan to is to create solutions as per the market needs and gain crucial investments.

The Cyber Threat Innovation Center will give startups access to experts who are well versed in technical mentoring and business support. The center will also provide advice to companies and will help them grow in their early stages and contribute to Britain’s 2 billion pounds cyber security sector.

Experts say that London is emerging as a favorable nation to make tech investments these days, despite Brexit.

And it is estimated that a record of  £5.6 billion investments will be made in the nation in next couple of years.
