Many company leaders, especially those leading SMBs are having very little knowledge on how to defend their businesses from cyberattacks or how to respond to such situations.

Therefore, Microsoft, a leading American technology company has offered a playbook to help firms raise their defense line against cyber attacks.

Going forward, the playbook is a free online guide that acts as a guiding force to companies to respond to widespread threat campaigns that have the potential to break a business into two on a permanent note.

And the highlight of this Microsoft Playbook is that it is offering a detailed incident response procedure to technically deal with Microsoft Server Exchange Hack and a way to deal with the Solorigate attack scandal.

Furthermore, Microsoft has also covered various other topics in its playbook that include common attack methods including phishing, password spraying, and app consent; along with the security checklist that helps businesses in proactively securing their computer networks.

Microsoft has also made it official that more such guides will be released in near future via an Azure Active Directory Identity Blog. Only to guide companies on a wide range of topics that need immediate customer attention.

Svetlana James, a freelance security analyst from Cisco Talos has welcomed the move and said that the playbook that includes various topics, incidents, and use cases was released by Microsoft at the right time. As it helps companies struggling to address Cybersecurity challenges learn about emerging technologies and implement them efficiently.
