Cyber Attack on Britain Universities for COVID 19 Medicine and Vaccine documents

All these days we have been expecting some kind of cyber activity from China on companies and Universities across the world which are into the production of Medicine and Vaccine for Corona Virus spread.

Surprisingly, the news is out that nations like Russia and Iran are now launching cyberattacks on Universities operating in Britain which are attempting to produce vaccines, testing kits, and medicine for the COVID 19 pandemic.

National Cyber Security Center, the cyber arm of UKā€™s GCHQ has made it official that the IT infrastructure of the Universities operating in their region was under constant cyber threat from Russia and Iran as state-funded hackers are seen trying to infiltrate the networks to find some classified info about the scientists and doctors studying the Wuhan Virus.

ā€œHackers are constantly trying to intercept the email & server communications taking place between Universities and scientific facilities and this has immensely grown in the past one month or so to steal UKā€™s future response against Corona Virusā€, said National Cyber Security Center.

Bill Evanina, the Director for National Counter-Intelligence and Security Center, North America says that the activity mirrors the incidents which took place on the servers of the US government last week.

Tobias Ellwood, the Chairman of the UKā€™s Defense Committee warned the UKā€™s COVID fighters against such online crimes and said that nations like China, Russia, and Iran could churn a fog war in the form of cyberattacks to steal R&D information on Corona Virus Vaccine and the efforts taken up by Britain to contain the spread.

Mr. Ellwood, the British Conservative Party Politician also warned the cyber attacking nations to be wary of the consequences if their cyber warfare campaigns go beyond the saturation point.
